Adolescence is the hardest time to be a parent.
You don't have to do it alone.

This is a supportive community of thoughtful parents who, like you, are engaged, loving and sometimes feel overwhelmed and lost at sea.

Why this community?

In addition to therapy, I’ve been leading workshops, webinars, trainings and classes for over 2 decades. One of the reasons I enjoy connecting in this way is because the parents I meet at these events are consistently thoughtful, smart, loving and curious. I often leave feeling like I wish there was a good way to help parents connect with one another and realize that they’re not the only ones.

I have the privilege of a birds eye view, and what I see is that you and hundreds of other parents with teens have so much more in common than you realize.

Parenting during the teen and young adult years can feel super isolating. Many of us feel ashamed if our kid is struggling. Or some of us feel guilty for worrying if our child isn’t “doing that bad”. This isn’t a competition or a reflection of who’s the better parent.

If you’re reading this, I know you’re a good parent. But your teen may be struggling, and you could probably benefit from more support, tools, and resources.

Raising Adolescents Together

This is a space for parents with adolescents to connect with one another, learn, and grow together.

This is for parents with teens that are doing ok and dealing with everyday concerns like chores, screen use, or school stress. And it’s equally for parents with teens or young adults that are in crisis and dealing with out of home placements or intensive inpatient programs. And it’s for everyone in between. 

What you can expect.

A private and confidential site (not Facebook) dedicated to our community, Raising Adolescents Together. This is a space for parents helping their teens have a successful transition to adulthood. I also share useful and valuable content on a regular basis.

Features:

  • A monthly webinar on topics relevant to the community. Examples might be stress, anxiety, boundaries, adhd, devices, another one on devices (ha), coparenting/marriage, adoption, etc. What would you like a webinar about? These webinars are saved and included in an increasingly expanded video library.
  • One Q&A/office hour type meeting per month that will be recorded and saved.
  • An honest, supportive, and confidential discussion group that I am actively involved with.
  • My popular 6 week parent Class! Each module is newly recorded and updated and available for you to access anytime you want. This class was previously $399 and moving forward will only be available with a membership. Right now it’s free with a membership but going forward I may be charging an additional fee to access it.
  • A constantly expanding resource section where we share recommended books, podcasts, articles, and supportive resources for a crisis.
  • Weekly quick tips, strategies, and practical perspectives in the form of brief videos from me.
  • You’ll be interacting with me and a community thoughtful and engaged parents like you. No team or staff, just me.
  • In person gatherings 2-3 times per year.

What makes this group great is that it attracts the right type of people. This may not be for you if:

  • You think you know everything and are only here to “help” or lecture others.
  • You have younger children (under 13).
  • You’re motivated to market or promote your work or business.
  • You’re humming along and your kids are thriving (congrats!).
  • You’re looking for a substitute for therapy. This is a fantastic complement to therapy, but it is absolutely not therapy.
